Vice-President Sales – Atlantic Canada, Quebec, Alberta, Ontario, B.C.
Reporting to: SVP, National Sales Manager
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a sales/territory plan for prospects and referral business opportunities by identifying, developing and maintaining relationships with Brokers and Planners in strategic market areas. This includes developing referral leads from existing brokers in addition to prospecting new relationships.
- Develop presentations and proposals to Brokers and Planners to educate and promote ONE Financial.
- Conduct local seminars, representing ONE Financial at industry related functions and conferences.
- Analyze Broker referral performance and recommend solutions to enhance referral quality and quantity, increase volume or improve relationships as appropriate.
- Monitor the effectiveness of the external marketing program and recommend corrective action as appropriate including planning and implementing promotional programs such as presentations and regular follow-up meetings with external sources of brokers.
- Maintain current knowledge of investment products and procedures and of the competitor products in the area necessary to respond appropriately to business and competitive requirements while keeping ONE Financial abreast of market trends.
- Maintain liaison between Brokers/Planners and ONE Financial.
- Assist with the development of other ONE Financial business by maintaining a thorough knowledge of other ONE Financial products and services and facilitating cross-sell opportunities in order to establish an ongoing relationship with clients.
- Perform other special projects or assignments as required.
Requirements:
- 5 years financial services experience, specifically in an inside or outside sales capacity.
- Thorough knowledge of investment products and mutual funds, ideally with experience selling principal protected notes or structured products.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, relationship skills and promotional skills.
- Strong sales and service skills and a demonstrated track record in these areas.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Experience with activity-based sales as well as relationship marketing.
- Ability to work in a relatively unsupervised environment and interact with executives.
- Initiative and a strong sense of professionalism, which are essential in implementing sales and attracting new brokers.
- Must be PC literate (MS-Office).
- Post secondary education in Business, Finance or a related field.
