Director, Products

Reporting to: Managing Director, Products

Primary Responsibilities:

• Actively assist the product development team with idea generation of new retail investment products.
• Design and structure new product initiatives, from the initial concept through to market launch.
• Liaise with internal and external service providers in support of product design and service.
• Identify new opportunities through market research and awareness.
• Assist sales and marketing teams with product research & analysis and client presentations.

Requirements:

• 5 years experience in the financial services sector.
• Thorough knowledge of retail investment products and mutual funds, with experience in structured products (principal and non-principal protected notes, CPPI structures, closed end funds) and real estate investment vehicles.
• Understanding of real estate investment vehicles is an asset.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with an ability to work in an unsupervised environment and interact with other departments.
• Excellent time management skills, with a willingness to work long hours.
• Demonstrated initiative and a strong sense of professionalism.
• Must have a high proficiency level with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Post secondary education in Business, Finance or a related field. A Chartered Financial Analyst designation (CFA) is a definite asset.
